Between 2005 and 2008, Kirsten Dunst did one movie each year. After taking 2009 off, she did two movies in 2010. While there’s nothing wrong with this schedule, her fans want to see her on the big screen as often as possible. Because of this, any fan of Kirsten will be excited to know that she has four projects on her plate in 2011.

Dunst’s first 2011 movie is actually a short. However, unlike many shorts that are anywhere from five to fifteen minutes in length, this short is a full thirty minutes. The short is called Fight for Your Right Revisited. In it, Dunst plays a “metal chick.” In addition to Kirsten, this short has tons of additional star power from people like Danny McBride, Will Arnett, Adam Scott, Rashida Jones and Susan Sarandon.

Her next 2011 project is the movie Melancholia. Dunst fans will be happy to know that her character Justine is one of the leads in this movie. And unlike the short that is only thirty minutes in length, this film is over two hours long. Because this film was written and directed by the same man who did the controversial Antichrist, it should be a very compelling role for Dunst.

Dunst’s third role for this year is in the movie Upside Down. According to the current details of the movie, she will also be playing a lead character in this movie. With a budget of around $60 million, there’s no doubt that this one will get a very wide release.

While it has a significantly smaller budget, Dunst’s last 2011 project should be quite good. She will be playing Camille in the film version of Kerouac’s classic “On the Road.”

Kirsten Dunst is a young actor whose career has been simmering for a very long time and is beginning to come to boil. Unlike many other actors and actresses, who don’t really find their feet in the profession for a number of years into adulthood, Kirsten was a child actress and was starring in films, almost from birth (she played Lisa’s daughter in the 1989 film ‘New York Stories’). Her first major success was in the film ‘Interview With the Vampire’, in which she played the role of Claudia and, in doing so, won 3 awards (Boston Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress, Chicago Film Critics Association Award for Most Promising Actress and, MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance). She was also nominated for 3 further awards including a Golden Globe for the Best Supporting Actress.

From then on, she achieved success in many other films, including ‘Jumanji’ starring Robbie Williams. However, the transition from child protege to adult star was not easy and Kirsten found herself in a bit of acting limbo; having to make do with minor roles in films and starring every so often in television programs. Her career really began to take off once more when she was cast for the role of Mary Jane in the Spider Man trilogy. This was her first blockbuster in her adult career and she has gone from strength to strength after this. She is currently filming ‘Melancholia’, a drama written and directed by Lars von Trier.

Like many of the other actresses in Hollywood Kirsten is one who is so good looking that she models while she is not being on the big screen. The young 28 year old actress is still kicking off her career in Hollywood which will no doubt take her to amazing places to do the filming. These days with travel so cheap and countries which have high exchange rates it is more productive for the producers to take their films to other counties to be made. This not only saves them money in the long run but gives them different scenery to use such as in the case of the Lord of the Rings film being filmed in New Zealand. Kirsten was one of these girls who got to travel to other places however Europe was about the boundaries for her exploits. Over the years Kirsten Dunst has been an actress in many great movies including ones which were not completely main stream.

In 1989 at the age of 7 years old Kirsten appeared in her first on screen shot in the movie New York Stories as the little girl of one of the main actresses. Four years later she was asked to be a character in a horror film named Darkness before Dawn which was a good movie even though it was not a real block buster hit. In the Star Trek series Kirsten had a single role which kept her busy for one episode. At the age of twelve she played in another lead role next to Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. This movie was nominated for several awards which gave Kirsten a big lift in her rating for a celebrity. Seen on the red carpet more often than not she is now one of the more popular figures in Hollywood as well as being a well known American actress.
